Privacy Policy
neemtax is operated by Neemiracle Technologies, a registered Electronic Return Intermediary (ERI). This policy explains what information we collect when you use neemtax, how we use it, and the choices you have. We only collect what we need to prepare and file your income-tax return.
Information we collect
- Account details — your name, email and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Tax documents — Form 16, Form 26AS and any files you upload, and the data parsed from them.
- Filing data — the income, deductions and bank details you enter to build your return.
- Usage data — basic, privacy-respecting logs needed to run and secure the service.
How we use it
Strictly to provide the service: selecting the correct ITR form, computing your tax under both regimes, validating your return, and filing it with the Income-Tax Department on your behalf. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Where your data is stored
Your data — including uploaded documents — is stored and processed on infrastructure located in India, and is never sent abroad. See our security page for how it's protected.
Who we share it with
Your return is submitted to the Income-Tax Department through the official ERI channel — that is the only party we share your filing with, and only to file your return. We may use vetted service providers (e.g. hosting) bound by confidentiality, and will disclose information if required by law.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your account and its data at any time. Deleting your account removes your profiles, drafts and filings from our systems, subject to any retention the law requires for filed returns.
Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal/record-keeping obligations for tax filings.
